Our third annual Travel Etc. magazine
reader photo contest prompted a flurry of colorful entries
from across Canada and the U.S. |
The winner? Holly Drader of Tangent, Alberta,
who captured her toddler son in mid-air as he was being tossed
up and down by his dad at a nearby lake last summer.

The runners-up are Jacquie Sieben of Mackenzie,
B.C., whose adorable swimmer in goggles caught our eye, and
Denise Soroka of Manning, Alberta. That's Denise, in the purple
shirt and white hat, exploring some old-growth rainforest
with her sons on the Queen Charlotte Islands off the central
B.C. coast.
Our thanks to everyone who entered their
favorite summer holiday photos. Whether you kissed stingrays
on your Caribbean cruise, cycled across Europe or took your
grandkids to a fishing hole, it was obvious to us that some
talented amateur photographers were also there to catch the
moment. Holly Drader wins airfare for two from the nearest
gateway to Orlando, Florida, courtesy Uniglobe Travel. Plus
three nights accommodation courtesy the beautiful, 714-room
Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld. Send us a postcard,
Holly!
